The Friendship Club is held every Thursday from 1.00pm to 4.00pm for the elderly people of Chadderton under the leaders David & Joyce Mortimer. For just £1.00 a substantial lunch is provided, everyone enjoys a game of Bingo, play your cards right, finding the bear a home and so much more. Guest artists regularly provide excellent entertainment. In October The Friendship Club enjoyed 5 wonderful days in Morcombe on a "Tinsel & Turkey" trip. The cost of a little over £100 included coach fares, half board at The Sea Crest Hotel, evening entertainment and lots of fun and games. The Fiendship club invites any elderly person to come along, enjoy good food, good company and to make new friends. Any similar groups out there, please contact us. |
