| In January 2006 disabled toilet facilities were installed at The Centre. This project has been on The Committee's agenda for several years and it was finally accomplished with the help of grants of £3,000 & £2,137 from The Chadderton Area Committee and The Community Chest respectively. The provision of these facilities was a major operation and it was the biggest project that the Committee have undertaken to date. The Committee are grateful to the Architect, who gave his services free, the contractor for carrying out the work to such a high standard and with the minimum of distruption, and to all the members of The Centre for suffering the inconvenience (no pun intended) while the work was being carried out. | |
